The former East German film company DEFA recently re-issued the original version on DVD and the print is beautiful. There are numerous examples of this butchering of communist era Russian and Eastern European science-ficttion films by America with Roger Corman been a classic example of this cultural theft buying up these films very cheap then re-editing them and overdubbing with American voices and giving them a new storyline and title.
